I bought a '95 Savage in September 2001. What a deal I got! The bike had only 1,600 miles on it, it came with a National Cycle windshield, synthetic leather saddle bags, 3 oil filters, and the Clymer Repair manual.

It does have a dent in the tank. I know it wasn't dumped, but for some reason the tank took a hit. The guy said people wouldn't even drive out to take a look at it when he got calls on the bike from the classifieds. I always liked Savages so I ran out to look at it. I love that dent, it got me such a good deal!

Other than that, the bike is beautiful. (I ended up buying a like-new tank of same year and color off eBay for $45. I'm putting it on this spring, any tips?)

The guy sold it to me for $1,900!

Enough about my cool discovery ... now why I replied.

I wanted an owner's manual because I'm one of those people that read them and figure there is something in there that would be helpful to know. I went to my local Suzuki dealer and ordered one for $10.69 with sales tax. It took a week or two to arrive, but it was worth getting for a few tid-bits.

I can't wait for the next few weeks to get over with! April 1st really kicks off the riding season here in NY.
